Keith Cooper - 2008

I have just had three wonderful days on the site with my two grandsons. Everyone was very friendly, the site is a beautiful oasis with spotless facilities and very pleasant staff. The fishing on the adjacent canal is excellent and over the 3 days we were there my younger grandson caught over 50 2-3lb chub. The walk up the canal to Shireoaks, Turnerwood and Kiveton Park is second to none. The town centre is within easy walk as is the central bus terminus. A great site. I expect to be back soon

David Brown - 2008
When we had to leave unexpectedly during our recent stay, owing to my father's ill health, it was very kind of you not to charge us for the additional night's stay. As relative caravanning novices, we were also most grateful for the tips and help given when we hitched up before leaving ! It's something that we will always remember. Thanks again.

Ian, Jayne & Carl Ambler

we have just returned from what can only be described as the coldest weekend ever but I suppose that is to be expected in February !!! Your site is a gem, we couldn't believe how close we were to the town centre yet the site is so quiet. Thanks for recommending the Pickwick the food was out of this world. we will be back !!

Mr and Mrs White - August O7  - Touring Caravan
If you have not tried this site you don't know what your missing The site is well kept and very clean.   The toilets are immaculate with fresh flowers in the ladies. The wardens are excellent nothing is to much trouble. It is a stones throw from town and next to the chesterfield canal ( handy for fishing ) with plenty to do in the surrounding areas.    This site is a must you will wish you had tried it sooner

Steve - May 07 - Trailer Tent
We visited this site on May Bank Holiday and was the first time in using our trailer tent with electric hook. We wanted somewhere close to Clumber Park and this was the nearest site which had spacers at short notice. This site is a little gem after going through the housing estate and past the cricket pitch to get to it you are welcomed by a security barrier which opened up to a wonderfully clean and tidy site which the wardens take great pride in looking after. The site has both hard standing and grass pitches of which we had a grassed pitched because we had no hard standing pegs, the pitch was flat with lots of space, although children are not allowed to play ball in the area this didn't matter as we spent most of our time at Clumber Park. The showers are 20p for about 10 Min's which is plenty of time for me and 2 children, we were encouraged to clean the floor around the shower so the next person to use is not standing in your dirt which is a great plus.  We will use this site again and tried for the second Bank Holiday but they were full!
